The scientific evidence to support the administration of nutritional supplements to pets is often very weak. Best evidence are randomised controlled trials (RCTs)

Gelatin (n=1 non-RCT)

In a placebo-controlled study (Beynen 2010) oral administration of gelatin hydrolysate was reported to improve activity and reduce stiffness and lameness in canine OA (n=15) based on subjective owner assessment.
